Facelift scars
Blending facelift and cosmetic surgery scars.
Learn more about the technique
Facelift scars sit around the ear and hairline, right where people look. Camouflage tattooing blends the line back into your skin so your result looks as natural up close as it does from across the room.
Facelift and brow lift scars often heal paler than the surrounding skin, which can make them easy to spot around the ear, in front of the tragus or along the hairline. We match pigment precisely to your skin tone and work it into the scar so it blends in.
We work with fine, detailed technique around the ear and hairline, layering pigment over a typically 3 week session protocol. This is to ensure variance in the colour to mimic real skin.

FAQ
Common questions
How long after my facelift can I book?
Your scars need to be fully healed and settled, which is often around 12 months after surgery. We’ll confirm whether your skin is ready at your consultation.
Will people be able to tell?
The aim is for the scar to blend so it doesn’t catch the eye. Results depend on your skin and scar, and we’ll show you what’s realistic before we begin.
Can you work along the hairline?
Yes. We work carefully around the hairline and ear, matching tone so the area looks natural with your hair up or down.
What is the pain like?
Most clients describe it as around a 3 out of 10. We don’t use numbing, because we need to see how your skin responds as we work. We go at your pace, with breaks whenever you need them.
How long is each session?
Around 45 minutes to an hour for a scar on one side (unilateral), and around 1 hour 30 to 1 hour 45 minutes for scars on both sides (bilateral).
How do I get started?
Every treatment begins with a complimentary consultation, in the studio or by video. We’ll assess your skin and give you a realistic plan, with no obligation. Book your consultation.
