Stretch marks

Restorative needling & camouflage

Softening stretch marks, texture first.

Stretch marks from pregnancy, growth, weight change or training are completely normal, and you get to decide how much they show. We work on texture first, then colour, so they soften back towards your skin.

Stretch marks usually have two parts: texture, where the skin has thinned or indented, and colour, where they sit paler or darker than your skin. We treat texture with restorative needling first, then use pigment camouflage to blend colour where it’s needed.

Treatment is gradual and layered, giving your skin time to rebuild between sessions.

FAQ

Common questions

Can you treat new, red stretch marks?

We work on settled stretch marks, usually once they’ve faded from red or purple to white or silver. We’ll assess yours at your consultation.

Do you use pigment?

We can. However, at its core, Resolute strives to create the most realistic looking outcome for every client. With stretch marks, this typically means beginning with restorative needling (inkless tattoo) first, to reduce the texture and visibility of the compromised skin. Then, if any colour concerns remain, we can colour match with pigment.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies with the age, colour and depth of the marks. In general, a minimum of 3 sessions will be required, spaced at least 6 weeks apart, although 8 to 10 weeks between sessions is often needed to allow complete healing. Camouflage can follow where needed.

What is the pain like?

Most clients describe it as around a 3 out of 10. We don’t use numbing cream, because we need to see how your skin responds as we work, and numbing products can impede the healing response restorative needling relies on. We go at your pace, with breaks whenever you need them.

How do I get started?

Every treatment begins with a complimentary consultation, in the studio or by video. We’ll assess your skin and give you a realistic plan, with no obligation. Book your consultation.
