Acne scars

Treating texture from acne scarring.

Learn more about the technique

Rolling, boxcar and pitted acne scars change how light falls on your skin. Restorative needling works on texture without pigment, helping your skin rebuild and smooth over a course of sessions.

Restorative needling, also known as inkless scar revision, uses a tattoo machine without pigment to break up scar tissue and stimulate your skin’s own repair. Over time, indented and uneven areas soften and sit closer to the surrounding skin.

Because there’s no pigment, it suits all skin tones, and we can treat small patches or larger areas of the face, chest and back.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I have this while I still have active acne?

We treat settled scarring, not active breakouts. If you’re still breaking out, we’ll recommend waiting until your skin is calm.

Is there any pigment involved?

No. Restorative needling uses no pigment at all, which is why it works across all skin tones.

How long is the downtime?

Expect some redness and tenderness for a few days, then light flaking as the skin heals. We’ll walk you through aftercare at your appointment.

How do I get started?

Every treatment begins with a complimentary consultation, in the studio or by video. We’ll assess your skin and give you a realistic plan, with no obligation. Book your consultation.
