Cancer scars

Blending scars from cancer surgery and treatment.

Surgery and treatment for cancer can leave scars that are a daily reminder. Camouflage tattooing softens how they read, blending colour back into your skin so you can choose when, and whether, to think about them.

Scars from biopsies, tumour removal, port placement and reconstructive surgery often heal lighter or darker than the skin around them. We custom-blend pigment to your natural tone and place it carefully into the scar, so it sits back into your skin rather than standing out from it.

Every plan starts with a private, assessment-led consultation. We’ll look at how your scar has healed, talk through your treatment history, and only go ahead when your skin is ready.

FAQ

Common questions

How long after surgery can I start?

Your scar needs to be fully healed and settled before we work on it, which is often around 12 months after surgery or treatment. We’ll assess this at your consultation, and if you’re still in active treatment we may ask you to check with your medical team first.

Can you work on skin that has had radiation?

Sometimes. Irradiated skin can heal differently, so we assess it carefully and take a conservative approach. If it isn’t ready, we’ll tell you honestly and suggest when to check back in.

Will the scar disappear completely?

Camouflage softens and blends a scar so it draws far less attention, but it won’t erase it. We’ll talk you through a realistic result for your skin before anything begins.

How do I get started?

Every treatment begins with a complimentary consultation, in the studio or by video. We’ll assess your skin and give you a realistic plan, with no obligation. Book your consultation.
